The last Concorde aircraft belonging to Air France, the " Fox Fox " (14,421 fl ight hours and 4,199 touchdowns) is now on show at Roissypâle, at he Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport. Already commissioned by the Aéroports de Paris for the lighting design for the Roissy 2C and 2F terminals (and later, S3), Light Ccibles was entrusted with the delicate task of providing the lighting for the airport's prestigious new exhibit, Concorde. The original lighting design, conceived by Emmanuel Clair, intends to sublimate the setting of this symbolic monument in its take off position. A dozen projectors brightly illuminate the nose of the aircraft, while the tail is lit from above. The lower fuselage and beneath the wings are bathed in a wave of blue light simulating fl ight in the sky amidst the clouds. Careful lighting of the cabin port-holes and cockpit windows give the impression the aircraft is occupied, and the jet engines also appear to be active. Overall, around 70 light sources are employed. The Concorde exhibition was offi cially inaugurated on November 4th 2005 by Pierre Graff and Jean-Pierre Spinetta, the chief executives of Aéroports de Paris and Air France.
