Having grown up in the world of show business, Louis Clair studied the methods and techniques of light and shadow. He began his career as a sales technician,  in 1968, Louis returned to the Cinematographic Industry to take the technical direction of the Victorine Studios in Nice. During that time, the studios opened a department of stage lighting and festivities, serving the surrounding municipalities.

From 1974 onwards, Louis created a distribution channel specialised in ornamental lighting and launched ultra low voltage lighting and halogen lamps which  generated decorative lighting effects of “drama and psychedelic.”

In 1978, Louis opened the french branch of a large German company which manufactured interior lighting solutions, thus becoming a pioneer of architectural lighting in France …

In 1983, Light Cibles was born.

 

Emmanuel Clair is the Chief Executive Officer of Light Cibles, a multidisciplinary lighting design consultancy firm globally renowned for its technical expertise, rich experience and creative solutions with offices in Paris, Madrid, Singapore, Tianjin and Kuala Lumpur. Emmanuel graduated from École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Belleville and joined Light Cibles in 1999 as a project leader before becoming company director in 2004. He studied with the UNO Group, led by Henri Ciriani, Edith Girard and Laurent Salomon, and is an Associate Member of the Association of Lighting Designers. In 2014, he became a Standing Council member of Asian Association of Lighting Designers (AALD). Today, Emmanuel leads the four agencies of Light Cibles based in Paris, Madrid, Singapore and Tianjin.
