Orchard Central

A new project for an enormous shopping mall in Singapore was carried out in collaboration with DP Architects. Here the light is an integral part of the architecture.
Light Cibles put in place the lighting concept of the 160M long glosse façade and of some interior ciculations areas.
An excellent media façade. At the lower part of the façade, the gloss is lit along the edges with linear colour changing LED's, while on the upper part the grand screen membrane in metal is composed of LED's density moderately spored allowing the natural day light to penetrate into the parking.
As night falls, the LED's light up and images are formed...
Three years of study and adjustments were required to attain the appropriate density of LED's. This was also done in regard of keeping the costs low.
On the interior, the play of light animates the gloss walls of the corridors.
